TIMES SQUARE EVENT_ To launch the new Regenerist Eye&Lash Serum we gave women their 15 minutes of fame by showcasing their Wow Eyes on the biggest stage we could — a live billboard in Times Square. We developed a Facebook app where women could upload photos of their own made-up eyes. The photo was then displayed on a giant Times Square Billboard for 15 seconds. Each participant received an image of their Wow Eyes eyes to share on social media.
The Wow Eyes social experience garnered 68,500,000 media impressions, including 12,000,000 social impressions on Facebook and 3,000,000 on Twitter. The Facebook page, itself, gained over 35,000 new fans. In all, nearly 3,000 loyal Olay fans were made famous on the giant digital billboard in Times Square.
